Diricx steals show.

Benny Diricx dominated the adult section on Friday of the two-day Breef Show Jumping Championship winning the prestige Grand Prix Class, with AlKhalidiah Airforce One, and also claiming the runner-up position riding Al Khalidiah Mikaela.

Diricx also came fourth in the Senior B class astride Al Khalidiah Pascal, with stable companion Sayed Adnan Al Alawi on Al Khalidiah Fais Moi Rire coming in third. Another double victory came in the Grand Prix for Juan Fernandez de Mesa with his fourth and fifth placings on Tarzan and Iman De Olid.

In the junior section double wins were the order of the day with Ali Abdul Rahool claiming victory in the Junior C class astride Ghroob, and runner-up in the same class, on his second mount of the day, Pyrenta.

In the Junior B class it was Oscar Laurie and Emily who claimed their first victory of the day, with his second coming in the following class where he took runner-up again on Emily.

AlKhalidiah Fais Moi Rire, ridden this time by Sophie Appleton, took another two prizes home, with runner-up in the B class and victory in the A class. She had a tough jump-off battle with an excellent performance by Natasha Owen as she steered Duell Time into runner-up position in the A class. Natasha, also one of the double earners, had been placed fourth in her previous class, while Ali Yousif Ahmed took ARG Rebel Ted twice into the placings in classes B (6th) and A (5th).

Winners -

Adult 1 or C Class: Fahad Jamal Taqi riding Aesops; Adult 2 or B Class: Khalid Hilal Al Khatri riding Bashayer; Adult 3 or A (Grand Prix) Class: Benny Diricx riding Al Khalidiah Airforce One.

Junior 1 or C Class: Ali Abdul Rashool riding Ghroob; Junior 2 or B Class: Oscar Laurie riding Emily; Junior 3 or A Class: Sophie Appleton riding Al Khalidiah Fei Moi Rire.

Next event will be the GOYS Show Jumping Cup on March 19 and 29.
