MDB would like to extend a warm welcome and wish a successful mission in the Republic of Macedonia to the Ambassador,

H.E. Mr. Tariq AZIZUDDIN,

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, resident in Ankara;

Ambassador Azizuddin joined the Foreign Service of Pakistan in 1975. He held various diplomatic assignments in Pakistan missions abroad (Manchester 1979-82, Cairo 1986-89, Kuala Lumpur 1989-92 and Kabul 1992-94). H.E. also served as Consul General in Los Angeles from 1997 to 2001, and as Ambassador of Pakistan to Bosnia and Herzegovina from 2001 to 2004 and to Afghanistan from 2005-2008. Presently he is serving as Ambassador of Pakistan to Turkey;

to thank H.E. Mr. Dusko LALICEVIC,

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Montenegro, for his completed diplomatic mission in the Republic of Macedonia, wishing him success in his future career;

and to wish a successful diplomatic mission to our colleagues,

H.E. Mr. Mile MANOLEV,

HOUSE OF CHINESE CULTURE IN SKOPJE

The House of Chinese Culture was opened at the St. Kliment Ohridski National Library in Skopje on 10 February. At the new and modernly arranged office, whose establishment was supported by the Ministry of Culture and the Government of the Republic of Macedonia, within the framework of the agreement on cultural cooperation, information on a number of topics relating to the Chinese art, literature, history and tourism will be made available to the broader public in Skopje and the Republic of Macedonia through a number of electronic media and publications.

The House of Chinese Culture was opened by H.E. Dong Chunfeng, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Macedonia, and Library Director Mile Boseski.

SERBIA'S DAY OF STATEHOOD

The Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in the Republic of Macedonia hosted a reception at the Continental Hotel in Skopje on 15 February on the occasion of Serbia's Statehood and Army Day. Upon the intonation of the national anthems, H.E. Mr. Tomislav Djurin addressed the numerous guests from the social and political life in the Republic of Macedonia and the representatives of the diplomatic corps.
