Digital Print Solutions Sun Chemical[R].

Sun Chemical has earned its position as the largest producer of printing inks and pigments by anticipating emerging trends and developing products that meet the needs of a worldwide audience. Sun Chemical has now launched a new business, Digital Print Solutions. The vision for Digital Print Solutions is to become the "trusted advisor" to the industry in all matters related to digital printing.

Digital Print Solutions is in a unique position to fulfill this role due to the leadership position of Sun Chemical. Sun Chemical, through its SunJet[R] division, is the largest producer of inkjet inks to OEM integrators of digital technology. This position as a development partner provides unique access into the future direction of digital technology. Sun has a worldwide sales and distribution network, including many of the leading converters and product producers in each converting segment. The application knowledge gained, along with converter and key market influencer discussions, provide a clear direction for creating value in the supply chain. The role of the Digital Print Solutions business is to be the bridge between the converter and the developer. The goals of this new organization are to reduce the development time of digital technology, enhance the capability of the technology by optimizing products for the specific application needs of the market, accelerating the deployment and utilization of the technology, and creating sustainable value around the technology leading to enhanced profitability for the supply chain.

Working with technology partners, Digital Print Solutions has launched two new products employing fixed array digital technology: FastJet[R] for the corrugated packaging converter, and SolarJet[R] for the narrow web label converter. Fixed array technology enables a new threshold for the total cost of print, total thruput, and ease of operation.

Introduced at Labelexpo Europe 2007 in Brussels, SolarJet is designed to meet the specific needs of the narrow web label converter:

* Available in 2.1", 4.2", and 6.3" print widths

* Designed to reduce the total cost of print

* Four color print flexibility

* Capable of printing up to 80 linear feet per minute

Narrow web converters can readily identify with the digital value proposition. Investment into digital technology is no longer a question of if, but when. Converters continue to seek the correct technical solution to meet their business needs. The Digital Print Solutions team is committed to working with you to provide the information and support needed to develop the right strategy for your business.
