Digital Cinema Moves Towards Industry Wide Adoption.

-- Top Digital Cinema Integrator Reports Key Milestones --

LOS ANGELES -- The domino effect is in motion as more and more theaters adopt digital cinema reports industry expert, co-founder and CEO of Access Integrated Technologies, Inc. ("AccessIT") (NASDAQ:AIXD), Bud Mayo. He cites the company's 2006 and early 2007 milestones as evidence of the significant shift underway:

* 2,000 screens have been installed by AccessIT systems in approximately 120 theaters

* One million shows in digital format shown on AccessIT screens

* 29 states currently have systems in place with theatres in another 10 contracted for installation

* The past 14 months have seen an enormous shift in the industry to deliver movies in the digital format: more than 100 titles in 2006 and many more expected in 2007

* In March, AccessIT will be the first to distribute a live event digitally to cinema quality screens conforming to the DCI specification

Theater owners report that digital cinema has given them important opportunities for new revenue streams - from pre-movie advertising to the ability to easily offer alternative content of interest to their local audiences. In addition, digital cinema has been easy and inexpensive to deploy. Distributors receive benefits as well. They pay reduced costs today in the form of a Virtual Print Fee and ultimately will eliminate much of their distribution costs. Additionally, digital cinema reduces piracy by using encryption technology and forensic watermark detection which is installed in AccessIT systems.

AccessIT offers the only fully integrated, networked system provider for theater owners and the movie industry. The AccessIT operating system encompasses best of breed hardware providing AccessIT's Library Management Server[R] and Theatre Command Center[R] software, Christie's CP2000 projectors and Doremi's DCP2000 JPEG server. Together, these create the only complete networked Digital Cinema solution available today.
