Digest: Weber's LVMH role.

Luxury products group LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton yesterday said Mark Weber had been appointed chief executive of LVMH Inc in the US, and chairman and chief executive of Donna Karan International.

Paris-based LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton is the parent of wine and spirits brands Moet & Chandon, Dom Perignon, Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin, Hennessy, Glenmorangie, Belvedere and Chopin, among others.

Mr Weber, aged 57, will look for strategic opportunities for the LVMH in the US market and oversee the centralised functions supporting the group's US operations. He also will have global responsibility for Thomas Pink.
