Dies Today goes live.

Byline: Victor D. Infante

COLUMN: TEN THINGS TO DO

With a new singer fronting the band and its new CD, "Lividity," due in stores later this month, It Dies Today is on a bit of a streak right now. New singer Jason Wood has a voice that's surprisingly pop-friendly for the hard-thrashing band, but the dynamic works, especially on the radio-ready "6th of June." Of course, all the band's bite is still there, balancing clean guitar lines with thunderous percussion. On the whole, it feels as though It Dies Today is standing at some sort of precipice, and waiting to see what happens when it jumps is kind of exciting. It Dies Today performs with the Miles Between, Awaken Demons and the best-named band ever, Arsonists Get All the Girls, at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 10 at the Palladium, 261 Main St., Worcester.
