Dialog Launches New Profound Priced in Euros.

The Information Services Division of The Dialog Corporation plc has announced that it has launched the latest versions of Profound for Windows and Profound for the Internet, complete with euro-pricing for services. Costs for documents on Profound and online session statements are being incorporated into standardized billing to help pan-European companies manage information solution charges.

Users of the new version of Profound for Windows and Profound for the Internet are now billed in euros as well as in their local currency. Individual transactions are detailed on the invoice in euros with a bottom line conversion into local currency. Euro-billing is available to users in II countries participating in the first phase of the new currency. The new billing option will benefit multinational companies and those using the euro as a base currency.

According to the announcement, as part of The Dialog Corporation's Millennium commitment, software to support versions 1.6 of Profound for Windows is fully Y2Kcompliant. The new version also includes an updated thesaurus and an enhanced help file.

"The new euro-pricing will streamline billing for companies using the new currency," said Ciaran Morton, president, Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Asia at Dialog. "It will also enable businesses that operate across Europe to manage their budgets more easily. This is part of The Dialog Corporation's ongoing commitment to the globalization of information services and helps meet specific market demands for billing options."

Users automatically receive a prompt to install the new version of Profound for Windows when they log on. Customers have three options for downloading and installing the new software. The upgrade can be downloaded directly from Profound or from the company's Web site at http://www.dialog.com. The software is also available to be installed from diskettes.
