Diageo Plc is putting four leading European drink brands up for sale to focus more resources on its key brands. The four brands are: German brandy Asbach, Greek brandy Metaxa and Italian brandy Vecchia Romagna and vermouth Cinzano. Analysts believe the four drinks, which together sell more than 6 million nine-liter cases a year, could fetch more than $484 million. This would be in addition to the $323 million raised by Diageo in two North American sales of Canadian whiskies, bourbons and other U.S. spirits. Diageo also announced it has sold four ouzo brands to Italy's Campari.
