Diabetes myths dispelled; STAFFORD.

A CHALLENGING play aimed at dispelling myths and raising awareness of diabetes is set to leave Staffordshire residents All Shook Up.

The Shropshire and Staffordshire Strategic Health Authority has commissioned Pyramid Theatre Company to stage the play to help promote understanding the condition.

The play, follows Frank, a lorry driver and Elvis impersonator, through his initial health fears, his bewilderment and depression at being diagnosed with diabetes to his final acceptance of a changed lifestyle.

Two free performances will be held on March 1 at Odd Fellows Hall, Greengate Street, Stafford, at 12.30pm, and at Belmont Hall, New Street, Wellington, Telford at 7pm.
