Dhumal condoles death of Prabha Rau.

Shimla, April 28 -- Himachal Pradesh Cabinet which met on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Prof Prem Kumar Dhumal, condoled the death of former Governor of Himachal Pradesh Prabha Rau, who left for her heavenly abode on Monday in New Delhi.

Her services rendered to the State were also remembered. Two minute silence was observed to pay tribute to the departed soul.

The employees of Raj Bhawan held a condolence meeting on Tuesday to condole the demise of late Smt Prabha Rau., former Governor of Himachal Pradesh who passed away in New Delhi due to cardiac arrest.

Two minutes silence was also observed during the meeting and the staff prayed the Almighty to give peace to the departed soul and strength to the bereaved family members to bear the irreparable loss. They also paid floral tributes to the departed soul on the occasion.

It may be recalled that late Rau remained Governor of the State from July 19, 2008 to January 24, 2010.

"The services rendered by her during the period would always be remembered by the people of the state," said Chief Minister Prof Rau.
