Dhaka Requests for e-visa Access System.

Summary: ABU DHABI - Bangladesh State Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Hasan Mahmud has requested his UAE counterpart and the Minister of Labour to provide Bangladesh with the facility of e-visa access system to curtail malpractices in
visa forgery.

"The facility for e-visa access system will significantly decrease the number of fraudulent visa cases," Dr Mahmud said while addressing the media at the embassy here 
 on Sunday.

The minister met with 
 Dr Mohammed Anwar Gargash, 
 Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Saqr Ghobash Saeed Ghobash, Minister of Labour, and discussed a number of issues regarding 
 promotion of investment in 
 Bangladesh and securing the rights of his country's labour force, as 
 over half a million Bangladeshis 
 work in the UAE.

"The Labour Minister told me that they have already started procedures whereby all workers would receive their wages through financial institutions and they can check unauthorised deductions, if any.

"The procedure will be completed for over four million workers in the country by the end of this year," Mahmud said.
