Devine Developing Educational Website and E-commerce Service in Partnership With Rollercoaster Studios.
April 8, 1999-Devine Entertainment Corporation (TSE: DVN) today announced the formation of an expanded partnership with Rollercoaster Studios to develop an interactive childrens web edutainment site, based on the Company's award-winning TV programs: The Inventors Specials, The Artists Specials and The Composers Specials. The project consists of an interactive, educational history timeline and will incorporate an on-line video store to allow for direct selling of the Company's products.
Rollercoaster Studios is in the process of being acquired by Storage One (ASE:SOJ). Storage One will change its name to "EcomPark Inc." subject to shareholder and regulatory approval.
Rollercoaster will provide Internet solutions development and e-commerce services for the Devine project, which will be launched in September 1999.
Additional funding for the project will be provided by the Bell New Media Fund, Stentor New Media Fund and Telefilm Canada.
