17 July 2017 - International development community organisations, Inside NGO, LINGOs and Mango, have merged complementary areas of expertise in learning, capacity building and operational capabilities to form Humentum with a presence in US, UK, Africa and Latin America, the organisation said.
Terms were not disclosed.
Washington, DC, US-based InsideNGO is a member association of international non-governmental organisations, WHERE-based LINGOs is a virtual not-for-profit capacity building organisation specialising in eLearning. Mango is a UK-registered charity and social enterprise that specialises in financial management.
Humentum will serve development, humanitarian, civil society, and other international social sector organisations with a focus on supporting operational excellence for its members, clients, and customers.
InsideNGO said the new organisation will enable it to better serve professionals working to end poverty, reduce inequality and improve the health and welfare of vulnerable communities. The combined organisation will expand global reach and be better positioned to respond to challenges.
The CEOs of both LINGOs and Mango will be continuing in new roles in Humentum. Former LINGOs CEO transitions to Humentum as the global director of learning and product development; and former Mango CEO will serve as the global director of alliances and advocacy.
Combined, the three organisations have a team of more than 60 people in the US, UK, Uganda, Guatemala, and Spain, as well as a globally distributed network of delivery partners and affiliated experts.
They deliver nearly 400 learning events a year, both face-to-face and online, around the world, and offer consulting and recruiting services to the sector.
