Detroit Rubber Group.

The Detroit Rubber Group will hold its spring technical symposium on "Material advancements toward synthetic fluid resistance," March 29 at the Burton Manor in Livonia, MI. The keynote speaker will be Michael Crosby, Sr., of the Rubber Manufacturers Association. Technical presentations will include: "Developments in fluid transfer hose materials," Al Feit, Goodyear Tire & Rubber; "The changing face of base oils and their effects on lubricant/elastomer compatibility," Michael Huston, Lubrizol; "HNBR long-term resistance to new aggressive lubricating fluids," Mike Wood, Zeon Chemical; "Floroprene: Freudenberg-NOK's new fluorinated TPV," Craig Chmielewski, Freudenberg-NOK; "Material developments for synthetic oil resistance," Ray Hetherington, ITW Southland; "Update on AEM fluid resistance," Ed McBride, DuPont Packaging & Industrial Polymers; and "Trends in coolant development," Paul Fritz, Texaco Global Products.
