Beginning in August, the Detroit Metro Convention and Visitors Bureau will sponsor ASAE's Diversity Executive Leadership Program (DELP), which is offered in collaboration with allied societies. The program aims to enhance the leadership potential of individuals from underrepresented segments in the association management profession. DELP recipients participate in an accelerated program of education and volunteer service in the association management profession.Participants are provided complimentary ASAE and allied society memberships; complimentary registration and travel to the ASAE annual meeting and two other professional development programs as well as an allied society educational program; participation in a mentoring program; and opportunities for peer networking. ASAE is "delighted that the Detroit CVB has taken a stake in this worthwhile executive training program," says ASAE President and CEO Michael S. Olson, CAE. "The bureau is obviously interested in seeing diverse and inclusive participation in the association management profession, as is ASAE."
