Detector dog led Revenue to drugs haul.

DETECTOR dog Robbie has helped Revenue seize more than [euro]20,000 of drugs at Dublin Port.

The 1.15kg haul of herbal cannabis, with an estimated street value of [euro]23,000, was made on Tuesday when a foot passenger travelling from Holyhead was arrested.

Separately, Revenue officers in Dublin Port seized a nine-month-old pit bull terrier cross breed puppy when they stopped and questioned a man in his 50s travelling to the UK.

On Monday, 6kg of cannabis with an estimated street value of [euro]120,000 was seized at Portlaoise Mail Centre.

The illegal drugs were discovered concealed in a carved wooden ornament originating from Thailand.
