Designer's FEA.

Capability: LapFEA 2011 allows designers to investigate their design concept's response to applied loads and constraints. The tool predicts stresses, displacements, and modal frequencies using its integrated finite-element method based solver. A new capability supports rapid prototyping needs by automatically generating stereolithography, or STL, files. Additionally, LapFEA continues to serve as a front-end for Nastran for both pre- and post-processing. Supported file formats include: Bulkdata, DXF, F06, IGES, MDL, ST, STL, WMF, and EMF. Supported FEM elements include: CBAR, CTria3, CQuad4, CTetra, CPenta, and CHexa. Supported environments include: SPC, Force, Moment, PLoad2, PLoad4, and GRAV.
