Tenders are invited for Design Build Services for Replacement of Buckram Road Bridge


The Long Island Rail Road Company ( Railroad ) will receive Sealed Proposals by 2:00 PM, December 12, 2016, at the Procurement & Logistics Department (delivery instructions provided below) to provide Design Build Services for the Replacement of Buckram Road Bridge, in response to a Request for Proposal (RFP). The LIRR is proposing to replace the Buckram Road Bridge, Bridge Number: 67-O-300, which is located in the Village of Matinecock, in Nassau County, New York on LIRRs Oyster Bay Line, east of the LIRR Locust Valley Station. The RFP will be based on the Preliminary Design prepared by LIRRs design consultant. The project consists of completing the final design for the new bridge, the removal and disposal of the existing bridge, construction and installation of the new bridge, abutment modifications and repairs, and retaining walls for new track profile. The new bridge will meet NYSDOT vertical clearance requirements to the street below (14-0 ). The project will also reduce the number of spans from three to one resulting in a new single-span ballasted deck bridge which will reduce overall maintenance cost. etc.

A Proposers conference and Site Tour will commence on November 10, 2016 at 10:00 AM at Buckram Road Bridge, located at 90 Oyster Bay Road, Locust Valley, NY 11560.
