Derry can steal point off Gypsies; IRISH FOOTBALL.

Byline: Johnny Ward

BOHEMIANS, boosted by their superb 1-1 draw in Salzburg, must forget about the impending second leg when Derry City visit Dalymount Park for Sunday's crucial league game.

With Cork City losing two players due to financial problems - with the threat of more to follow - they are now very hard to fancy for the title.

Shamrock Rovers and in particular Derry may emerge as the only realistic challengers to the holders.

Derry have a good record under Stephen Kenny against Bohs and may secure a point to keep them within touching distance of the Gypsies. Expect it to be a close game and 11-4 about the draw is backable.

In Division One, Longford Town boss Gareth Cronin has termed their home tie against Mervue a 'must-win' game. The Galwegians are in freefall lately and Longford are an acceptable price at 7-8 - Paddy Power go only 8-13.
