DERMOT O'Leary says he has been booked for gigs by mistake by organisers who thought they were getting Dermot Murnaghan.
The X Factor host, 46, said the mix-up particularly disappointed women who were looking forward to meeting the 61-year-old Sky News anchor.
Dermot said: "I often get, 'I thought he was going to be Dermot Murnaghan' - who looks nothing like me, and has a different surname.
"I've had that from a few older ladies, 'When we booked you, we thought you were going to be Dermot Murnaghan'."
Dermot says he still lives a normal life despite being on TV and radio.
He added: "I take public transport. I play five-a-side football in Brixton."
