DermaMed Solutions to Sponsor the Race for Linda 5K for Scleroderma, Saturday, April 26 in Hershey, Pennsylvania.

Philadelphia, PA, January 31, 2014 --(PR.com)-- DermaMed Solutions will be one of the sponsors for the first Race for Linda 5K for Scleroderma, scheduled for Saturday, April 26th at the Milton Hershey School in Hershey, Pennsylvania.

DermaMed Solutions, based in the Philadelphia suburbs, has provided thousands of spa and medical locations with quality aesthetic equipment manufactured in the United States since 1998. Their leading product is MegaPeel[R], known as the industry gold standard in microdermabrasion. They also have created a line of skin-care products and protocols, along with nutritional supplements and home care regimens, with the label dmSkincare, that provides users a multi-pronged approach to offer maximum results for healthy skin.

“Running fast is hard, skin shouldn't be. Scleroderma, which literally means 'hard skin' in Greek, is a chronic connective tissue disease. Hardening of the skin is one of the most visible manifestations of the disease. As a company that believes in helping everyone uncover the brilliance that comes from comfort in your own skin, we are very aware of the disease and its impact,” said Mark Pinsley, President of DermaMed Solutions. “Linda Hayman, who passed away in July 2009 as a result of Scleroderma, was a family friend of one of our executives at the company. We are proud to be a sponsor of the first Race for Linda 5K and support this effort to help raise additional research funds for the Scleroderma Foundation.”

The Race for Linda 5K for Scleroderma has been organized by the late Linda Hayman's family and friends, in conjunction with the Delaware Valley Chapter of the Scleroderma Foundation. All proceeds from the race will go to the Scleroderma Foundation (http://www.Scleroderma.org), a non-profit with a mission to support patients and their families, promote public awareness and patient education, and to stimulate and support research to improve treatment and to find a cure for Scleroderma.

The Race for Linda 5K for Scleroderma will begin and end on the campus of the Milton Hershey School, starting and finishing at the ice rink. The day will include a 5K run, chip-timed by SpectaSport with results kiosks and real-time online results. Race-day packet pickup starts at 7:30 a.m., the 5K race begins at 9 a.m. and the one-mile “fun walk” begins at 9:15 a.m. Race entry forms, registration, sponsorship opportunities and other information are available at Race4Linda.com.
