Derek: Banish the cup misery.

Neilston manager Derek Carson admits this afternoon's opener can't come quick enough for his frustrated Farmer's Boys.

The Brig O'Lea boss is still reeling from the side's ignominious exit from the Sectional League Cup without a win to their name.

But for a side that harbours ambitions of winning promotion to the top flight this season, Carson says there is no time for the team to mope around.

He said:"He just need to go out there and get the Sectional Cup out of our systems.

"Everything in the run up to the cup suggested that we were on the right footing and well fixed ahead of the season starting.

"We were hamstrung by a lack of players being available for the cup games but the real stuff starts now and it is up to us to ensure we have a fast start."
