Democratic Korea Stresses Support to Syria & to Reformative Steps Taken.
Faisal Mikdad briefed Deputy Foreign Minister of the Democratic Korea, Pak Gil Yon, on the dimensions of the plot targeting Syria and the steps taken by President Bashar al-Assad to achieve the comprehensive political and economic reforms in Syria.
That came during a meeting between Dr.
Mikdad and Gil Yon on Friday in New York on the sidelines of the 66th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
Gil Yon condemned the acts of terrorism, Syria is exposed to, funded by the western countries.
He also denounced the misleading media campaign launched by the colonial circles to undermine Syria's independence, sovereignty and its honorable stances towards the regional and international just causes.
The Korean official stressed his country's support to Syria in the face of this plot, hailing the steps taken by the Syrian leadership to face it in order to preserve security and stability of Syria.
Gil Yon emphasized his country's desire to strengthen its relations with Syria and deepen the ties between peoples of two friendly countries at different levels.
Mikdad and Gil Yon reviewed developments of the political situation and the standing friendship and cooperation relations between the two friendly countries.
