Deloitte wraps up Monitor purchase.

14 January 2013 a[euro]" Professional services giant Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Ltd (DTTL) has completed the acquisition of US strategy consulting firm Monitor Company Group Ltd in a deal whose financial terms remain private.

Closure was made possible after the US Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware approved the asset sale on 11 January 2013. The parties announced on 7 November 2012 that Deloitte Consulting LLP would buy the US operations of Monitor, while other DTTL member firms would acquire the targeta[euro](tm)s international business.

Monitor was established in 1983 and is based in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Following the acquisition, its assets and resources will be folded into Deloittea[euro](tm)s strategy consulting business and the combined practice will operate under the name Monitor Deloitte.

Deloitte Consulting chairman and CEO Jim Moffatt stated that the deal would strengthen further his companya[euro](tm)s ability to provide clients with a complete range of services, starting with strategy advice and ending with execution.
