Deloitte & Touche external auditor of National Bank of Kyrgyzstan in 2019.

The National Bank of Kyrgyzstan holds annually a closed tender for choosing an external auditor of the central bank with parliament members in attendance.

According to the central bank governor Tolkunbek Abdygulov, the tender is held among audit companies with at least 5 years of international experience.

In 2019, 6 audit companies were invited to the tender and 4 of them refused to participate because of the schedule of work.

On February 27, 2019, the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan sent one MP from each faction to participate in the tender commission: Aliyarbek Abzhaliev (Respublika-Ata-Jurt), Orozbek Alybayev (Kyrgyzstan), Iskender Gaipkulov (Ata Meken), Akilbek Zhaparov (Bir Bol), Elvira Surabaldiyeva (SDPK) and Abdymazhit Yusurov (Onuguu-Progress).

The tender commission considered the audit companies on April 23, 2019 and Deloitte & Touche was selected as the winner, while Mazars was selected as the vice-winner, Abdygulov said.

He requested the Parliament to approve Deloitte & Touche as an external auditor of the National Bank for 2019.
