Delmon University honours graduates.

A TOTAL of 520 students graduated from the Delmon University for Science and Technology yesterday.

A graduation ceremony was held under the patronage of university board of trustees chairman Professor Refat Al Faoori.

Present were president Dr Hassan Al Qadi, his adviser and organising committee head Essa Sayyar, MPs, Shura Council members, business leaders, students, parents, faculty members, guests and media representatives.

Graduates were honoured for completing Master's and Bachelor's degrees in business administration, information technology, fine art, accounts and information sciences.

Both Prof Al Faoori and Dr Al Qadi spoke at the event, which saw the university's total number of graduates reach 2,200 since 2004.

"The university has a five-year plan to link it with European universities," said Dr Al Qadi.

Meanwhile, student Zahra Ahmed spoke on behalf of the graduates, Khalid Al Aqeedi read out a poem, graduates performed a short play and a documentary was shown about the university.
