Computer company Dell Inc (Nasdaq:DELL) has teamed up with Blizzard Entertainment Inc to introduce the XPS M1730 World of Warcraft Edition notebook PC, available for customers who pre-register for early access, with general online availability for US customers from 11 December 2007.

Dell said the XPS M1730 World of Warcraft Edition gaming notebook features custom World of Warcraft artwork inside and out, along with exclusive rare bonus items and a backpack with game-themed extras. Purchasers will receive a Quest Envelope containing access to items such as a Golden Ticket from FigurePrints, a company which creates custom figurines of players' individual World of Warcraft characters.

XPS M1730 World of Warcraft contents include a custom design featuring original art by Blizzard artists on LCD back, and Honor Badges on the wings; World of Warcraft and World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade pre-loaded on system; and original desktop background artwork and screensavers and an Account Upgrade Certificate.

The system is priced from USD4,499 and includes styling with backlit Honor Badges, LightFX perimeter lighting, full-size keyboard, AGEIA PhysX mobile processor, built-in Logitech GamePanel LCD, NVIDIA SLI graphics and 512MB of dedicated video RAM with DirectX 10.

The XPS M1730 also offers an optional over-clockable Intel Extreme Edition Core 2 Duo processor, up to 3.4GHz, optional dual RAID 7,200 RPM hard drives, HD 17" widescreen and available Blu-ray Disc and complete wireless connectivity with built-in Optional Mobile Broadband, Wireless-N, Bluetooth, and Dell's Wi-Fi Catcher.
