Delia cooks up a critical storm.

TV chef Delia Smith has launched a scathing attack on fellow cooks, describing her arch critic Antony Worral Thompson as "dreadful and repulsive".

Delia described Food and Drink wine buff Jilly Goolden as "awful", revealed she hates Gary Rhodes' TV shows and said chef Michael Barry is "all sweaty palms".

The legendary cook made the comments in an interview aimed at shaking off her goody-two-shoes image.

"I am not some prim Brownie pack leader - in fact, I am a bit of a bitch," she told The Daily Telegraph.

She continued: "Actually, I hate Gary Rhodes' programmes and I think that Antony Worral Thompson is worse; he is dreadful, just repulsive.

"I think that Food and Drink, the show he is on, is the most disgusting programme on television. I will never, ever know, as long as I live, how the BBC or the general public can tolerate it."
