Delhi court sends Zee News editors to 14- day judicial custody.

ZEE NEWS editors Sudhir Chaudhary and Samir Ahluwalia, arrested on an extortion complaint by Congress MP Naveen Jindal, were sent to 14- day judicial custody by a local court on Friday.

Apart from the two editors, the police have sent legal notices to five top bosses in Zee News Ltd to join the investigation.

They are likely to grill more people, sources said. Zee group owner Subhash Chandra and CEO of Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited Punit Goenka have left for London.

The crime branch sleuths are waiting for Chandra's arrival till December 5, as he had informed about his unavailability till then. If he does not turn up , an arrest warrant will be issued against him.

" There are evidence other than the 280- second conversation between Samir and Chandra, which prove that the people in the management were aware of the deal," a police official said.
