Defence Day: Pakistanis share patriotic emotions via SMS, other apps.

ISLAMABAD -- With an ever-growing mobile phones and Internet penetration, millions of Pakistanis exchanged Short Messaging Service (SMS) and also used other communication means to celebrate the most special event - Defence Day of Pakistan.

A shift in traditional ways to communicate with each other has been observed as people are getting more fascinated by free messaging and calls over the Internet through different applications.

The (September 6, 1965) is the Day which reminds a lot of ever green, memorable sacrifices and achievements of Pakistan Armed Forces as well as the nation. As 50 years complete of September war, Pakistan's victory and crushing defeat to India in 1965 war has all in jubilant mood and tribute has been paid to brave soldiers who helped win the war.
