Defeated Boro are a Spen force.

SPENNYMOOR T 3 NUNEATON BORO 1 NUNEATON were unable to lift themselves off the bottom of the table after this defeat at Spennymoor.

Glen Taylor handed the hosts a perfect third minute lead from the penalty spot after he had been felled by Jon Onyeka but it wasn't long before Boro were back on level terms with a penalty of their own, Dior Angus the scorer.

Spennymoor were the better team after that and it was no surprise when they struck again at the end of the half, Robert Ramshaw pouncing on a mix-up in the Nuneaton defence.

The Boro would have been deflated with the timing of the goal, even more so when the home side came out and added to their lead in the first ten minutes of the second half.

Ramshaw was provider this time setting up Andrew Johnson for his first goal of the campaign.

The Boro tried in vain to get back into the match with Angus going close with a header, but the home side hung on to leave Nuneaton still battling at the bottom of the pile.
