Deep feeling for Ireland.

GIOVANNI TRAPATTONI has a sixth sense, and he plans to use it to tempt exiles Stephen Ireland (left), Steve Finnan and Andy O'Brien back to the Republic side.

He said: "I've a feeling, a sixth sense, and maybe for one or two there are psychological reasons why they won't play. But they are all important and I will listen to them.

"It is important what they say to me; I will ask "can you clarify for me why you're not playing?".

"Sometimes it is enough to give them a sweet to get them on side - I'll always leave the door open."
