Decrease in the PPI during October 2013, says Statistics Bureau.

Published on Thursday, 28 November 2013 09:10 PNN The Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) issueda press release about the Palestinian Producer Price Index, during October, 10/2013. The overall Producer Price1 Index (PPI) for Palestine with its base year (2011=100) reached 104.46 in October 2013, as it decreased by 0.55% compared to September 2013. Producer Price Index for locally consumed products (2011=100) reached 104.50 in October 2013, which indicates a decrease by 0.61% compared to September 2013. Producer Price Index for exported products (2011=100) reached 103.96 in October 2013, which indicates an increase by 0.03% compared to September 2013. The changes of Producer Price Index for October 2013 were traced back to decrease in the Agricultural goods by 1.21%, manufacturing group by 0.10%, mining and quarrying products by 0.37% and fishing products by 14.92%. *The producer's price is the amount receivable by the producer from the purchaser for a unit of a good or service produced as output minus any VAT, or similar deductible tax, invoiced to the purchaser. The producer's prices exclude any transport charges invoiced separately by the producer.
