Company's Flexoelite flexographic printing press runs webs up to 80 in. wide at speeds to 1500 fpm. Patented LinearSet print-deck system utilizes linear encoders in place of ball screws to assure accurate positioning of anilox rollers and print cylinders and fast, precise movement of the print deck. Register can put one or all print decks into final register in about two revolutions of the central drum, reducing the time needed to proof each deck and permitting faster startup.

Unit's EasyOpen system simplifies sleeve changes by signaling the PLC to open the print station so sleeves, bases and anilox sleeves are automatically ready for change. Because no moving parts of the print deck are on the operator's side of the machine, the print cylinder, bases and roller sleeves not in use can be changed during operation. PLC monitors those decks printing and those being changed.

Other features include drying systems customized for each user; intake and exhaust fans with variable-speed motors for adjustment of airflow of each print run; motorized dampers on air nozzles for individual regulation of airflow and temperature; web-temperature systems; and UV and EB systems for users who don't want to run solvent or water-based inks, or those who want to apply coatings.

Flexoelite can run different types of winders, which permits use of rolls in diam. of 32, 40 or 60 in.

Post-Mold Graphic decorating system is a flexible process for applying decorations, logos and warnings to parts after molding. Key benefits include a greater choice in graphics, multicolored graphics applied in one simple application, chemical resistance, uv resistance, abrasion resistance and elimination of graphics-induced part spoilage. System combines inks and activators (including water), which work together to form a pre-printed permanent, wear-resistant bond with most materials, especially polyurethane, LDPE, HDPE, structural foam, crosslinked PE, ABS, PS, PVC and composites. Indenting systems for codes and logos use no ink. Heat-A-Mark Model 2212 for cosmetic, pharmaceutical and packaging applications that need a mark on round bottles or containers heats steel type and indents a branded code into the plastic. Unit indents one line of up to eight 0.125-in. or smaller characters at a rate of 300 bottles/min. For flat parts, Heat Set unit indents a permanent melted code into part similar to the Heat-A-Mark.

Jet-A-Mark large-character ink-jet printing system used for coding information on pipe, profiles, floor tiles, vinyl siding, and films. Graphics, sequential numbers, and batch codes can be printed in sizes from 0.5 to 2.5 in. at speeds to 400 fpm.

Label printers and printer applicators in direct thermal and thermal transfer models for bareode labeling applications print on pressure-sensitive labels with printing speeds from 2-8 in./sec in sizes from 0.5 x 0.5 in. to 9 x 16 in. Self-contained in-mold coating system for SMC incorporates metering and pumping components for injection of liquid coating material. Hydraulics, pneumatic and electrical controls supplied for operation of the coating process. Components are mounted on a single base, except for the press-connected items, including patented injector head.

Embossers texture both HDPE and LDPE film in gauges from 0.7 to 4 mils. In-line embosser with matched-steel embossing rolls is for blown film extrusion lines, bag machines, or flexo printers. Cold embossing reportedly results in very high-quality texturing, particularly in HDPE.

Sprinter automatic ink code-marking machines apply date codes, product codes, dots, etc., on metal, plastic, rubber and paper. Marking possible in any orientation. Message size to two sq in. Cycle speeds to 350 cpm. Complete line of operating supplies and auxiliary equipment offered.

Machines provide reliable, low-cost code marking (alphanumeric or symbol) and may be mounted in any orientation. Fast-drying inks (typically one sec or less) in white and all basic colors can be switched easily with quick-change ink reservoir. Message changes are fast with easily removable marking head. Sealed ink system allows discontinuous operation with immediate startup. All standard models may be extended in the d piston stroke or the marking head for hard-to-reach areas.


Range of vacuum-coating systems for decorative and functional applications. TriCoat system incorporates the capability for in-chamber topcoating. Line of products includes vacuum pumps, medical boosters, dry vacuum pumps, and vacuum drying systems. ISO 9001 certified.

Arc-spray metallizing system can melt and spray nickel, stainless steel, bronze, copper, and other wire. Coatings produced reportedly have high bond strength because interparticle adhesion is high. Metals deposited are said to be resistant to chipping or cracking when machined by conventional methods. A major application is sprayed-metal mold surfaces. Spray gun is similar to those used for paint. Wires are fed automatically and, although molten deposits are applied, substrate reportedly undergoes only a slight rise in temperature. An electric arc melts the ends of two electrically isolated coating wires, and an atomizing air jet blows the fine metal particles onto the surface being decorated. Typical spray rates range from 5 to 150 lb/hr.

Arc-spray technique is suitable in metallizing capacitors and similar electronic system components; in electro-magnetic shielding of plastic housings; providing metal coatings on plastics for wear resistance, thermal conductivity, abrasion resistance; and in producing finely detailed molds for plastics.

Attachments and auxiliary equipment include extensions for spraying internal diameters, spreaders for fanning the spray pattern, constrictors for diameter spray patterns, automated scanners, and fully automated systems.

Central-impression flexographic presses come with 8 or 10 color decks and have print widths from 24.5 to 64 in. with repeat ranges from 10 to 52 in. The latest flexo press is the Primaflex CM 10 with printing widths ranging from 40 to 57 in. This 10-color press also features a maximum speed of 1300 fpm.
