The 13-year-old pupil at Lord Lawson of Beamish Comprehensive School in Birtley, Gateshead, was a finalist in ITV's Stars in Their Eyes Kids show. But her performance as Latino superstar Gloria Estefan - singing One, Two Three - failed to win enough votes and the prize went to 13-year-old Merseysider Paul Cowperthwaite, who was performing as Michael Jackson.

Female monkey Emma has been left alone after her mate Woody, four, and their offspring Jazz, 18-months, twins Cheeky and Gizzmo, 11 months, and five-month-old Fudge, were stolen.
