Dear teachers.

Dear Teachers:

Spring is here! To celebrate, we're happy to present the annual Earth Day issue of SuperScience. Stories in this issue explore conservation, environmental protection, and other important subjects.

In our cover story, "View From the Top," scientists climb some of the world's tallest trees to study how the drought in California is affecting the forest. Other topics include invasive species, solar-powered cars, and reducing food waste.

Finally, don't forget to check out this issue's two-sided poster. Hang it up to show your students the steps of scientific inquiry and the amazing places scientists have to go to collect data. Happy Earth Day, and happy spring!
