Dear Rachael: FEARS OVER GIRL OF 10 BEDWETTING.

Byline: Rachael

Q MY wife and I are really concerned about our ten-year-old daughter, who is still wetting the bed. We've talked to other parents and have only found one other couple with an eight-year-old who occasionally does it.

Our daughter seems perfectly happy and healthy otherwise and hasn't been through any bad experiences so we can't understand why she is still bedwetting.

It's upsetting and frustrating and we feel like bad parents.

Michael

A BEDWETTING affects over half a million children between the ages of six and 16 in the UK - so your daughter is not alone. In fact surveys suggest the number of children who regularly wet the bed average one in six five-year-olds, one in 11 nine-year-olds and one in 50 people over 15.

There are many families struggling in silence, just like you. Contact ERIC - the Enuresis Resource and Information Centre - on www.eric.org.uk or ring the helpline 0117 960 3060 between 10am and 4pm.
