Dear Mirror - The great debate: Howard still can't sell us the Tories.

Byline: Derrick Gaskin

AS the election is set for May 5 polls show Labour's lead on the Conservatives down, despite the Howard Flight fiasco. But most readers don't trust the Tories.

IF THE Tories get in on May 5 we will be back to Thatcherism with a vengeance.

It's a pity we didn't have a Howard Flight in 1979 to let slip what the party was really planning.

They could have told us what Maggie had in store - the destruction of manufacturing, homes repossessed and the trashing of pensions and savings as millions of people were thrown on the scrap heap just to make fat cats obese.
