Dear Mirror: The great debate - Bush bluffing with CIA offer.

Byline: Michael Rosenthal

SO, the CIA is offering a reward for information about Iraq's weapons of mass destruction. It's a ruse. Bush was always going to go to war and WMDs were a convenient excuse.

Scott Ritter, the former head of the UN weapons inspection team in Iraq, has already admitted that no such weapons existed.

Robin Cook has said that Blair's actions were determined by an anxiety to please Bush. It is outrageous that Blair felt he needed to attach himself so closely to the Bush administration. And that this should lead to his deception in order to justify our participation in a war that America intended to wage come what may.
