Dear MIRIAM: I LEAVE A BAD TASTE.

Byline: Dr MIRIAM STOPPARD

Dear Miriam I 'VE just persuaded my girlfriend to try oral sex, and I'm glad I did because she seems to have mastered the knack and I'm really enjoying myself.

But I don't know how long she's going to continue because she says it doesn't taste very nice.

I wouldn't expect her to do anything she found repulsive but it would be a shame if she had to stop.

Can I change the taste? Would altering my diet help?

CHANGES in diet can alter the taste of semen, but it's largely a trial and error business.

Kiwi, watermelon and celery are all said to lighten the taste of semen, while coffee and beer are believed to heighten its bitterness.

You could incorporate some acidic fruits into your diet - plums, blueberries and cranberries are all believed to make semen taste sweet or sugary. Or you could try cinnamon.

But you may find it easier to simply wear a flavoured condom.
