Dealerships Hitched.

The merger of Construction Machinery Inc. and Coastal Machinery Inc. created the largest Alaskan-owned heavy equipment dealership and service operation in the state with more than 800 pieces of construction, mining and logging equipment and a $3.5 million parts inventory.

Anchorage-based Construction Machinery Inc. was founded in 1985. Ketchikan-based Coastal Machinery was founded in 1976 and operated at two dealerships in Ketchikan and Juneau, now doing business as Construction Machinery. Officers of the merged firm are Ken Gerondale, president; Bob Elliot, vice president; and Bill Allen, vice president of marketing.
