Deal snapshot: SPORTS ILLUSTRATED PLAY ACQUIRES TOURNAMENT MANAGEMENT, SCHEDULING SOFTWARE.
US-based online sports league management company Sports Illustrated Play (SI Play) has acquired Iowa-based tournament management and scheduling software provider Tourney Machine, the company said.
Tourney Machine will provide a tournament management product that is a complement to SI Play's core league and team management and in-game scoring capabilities. Together, they will provide a suite of digital and mobile league management and tournament services for clubs, organisations, leagues and governing bodies within a youth sports platform. Since its 2013 debut, Tourney Machine has managed more than 780,000 games across 8,000 tournaments, including participation from 393,000 teams and 3m players.
