Deal snapshot: OPENGATE CAPITAL ACQUIRES LOCK MAKER SARGENT AND GREENLEAF FROM STANLEY BLACK AND DECKER.
US-based private equity firm OpenGate Capital has acquired Sargent and Greenleaf from Stanley Black and Decker (NYSE: SWK), the company said.
The transaction marks the third investment completed in May through OpenGate Capital's second institutional fund. S and G is a brand in the specialised high security lock industry. Founded in 1857 and headquartered in Nicholasville, Kentucky, the business has approximately 120 employees globally with a vast distribution footprint that enables S and G to sell its products into more than 100 countries.
