Deal snapshot: MONGODB ACQUIRES DATABASE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM PROVIDER REALM FOR USD 39M.
New York, US-based general purpose database platform MongoDB, Inc. (NASDAQ: MDB) has agreed to acquire US-based open source object database management system provider Realm for USD 39m in cash, the company said.
The acquisition is expected to close in 2Q of MongoDB's fiscal year ending Jan. 31, 2020, subject to the satisfaction of customary closing conditions. MongoDB said this acquisition is a natural fit for its global cloud database, MongoDB Atlas, as well as a complement to Stitch, the company's serverless platform.
