Deal snapshot: J-POWER USA ACQUIRES EQUITY STAKE IN PENNSYLVANIA POWER PLANT PROJECT.
Japanese power producer Electric Power Development Co's J-Power Westmoreland, LLC subsidiary has secured an equity stake from Tenaska in the a 925mw Tenaska Westmoreland Generating Station natural gas-fueled power plant project near Pittsburgh, the company said.
The Tenaska Westmoreland project is owned by affiliates of Tenaska, Diamond Generating Corp., which is a subsidiary of Tokyo-based Mitsubishi Corp., and now J-Power USA. J-Power USA is a subsidiary of Tokyo-based Electric Power Development Co., Ltd, an independent power producer and the largest wholesale utility in Japan.
