Deal snapshot: ITACONIX SELLS HOLDINGS IN DANISH NICOTINE GUM COMPANY ALKALON TO HELMICH INVEST.
UK-based speciality polymers producer Itaconix (AIM: ITX) has sold its minority interest in Danish nicotine gum company Alkalon A/S to Helmich Invest ApS, Nolta ApS, Solco ApS, and Commerce Pharma Holding ApS, existing shareholders in Alkalon, for DKK 2.0m (GBP 242,000) (USD 300,000), the company said.
The proceeds consist of GBP 194,000 (USD 244,810) for the company's minority equity interest in Alkalon and GBP 48,000 (USD 60,570) for the full principal and accrued interest of a shareholder loan. Itaconix held 22.49% of Alkalon's ordinary shares.
