De Jong teams up with brother Luuk in loan move.
SIEM De Jong says he is fit and raring to go after signing for PSV Eindhoven.
The injury-prone Dutch international now has the chance to play in the Champions League after two nightmare years at Newcastle United.
De Jong has suffered thigh, lung, eye and hamstring problems to restrict him to just four Premier League starts and he did not play a minute of action in pre-season after a freak injury suffered in Ireland when trying an elaborate back-heel in a practice game.
Speaking after signing for PSV and linking up with his brother Luuk De Jong, he said: "I am really looking forward to it. It has long been a desire of both of us.
"It seems to me very special when it happens. I am fit and can actually work out directly with the group.
"In the coming weeks I need to find some rhythm.
It is also very nice to come to a club playing in the UEFA Champions League and fight for the title.
"I am very happy PSV have come for me, I am grateful to PSV."
A short Newcastle statement read: "Newcastle United can confirm Siem de Jong has joined PSV Eindhoven on a season-long loan."
