The first race event of the year, a club race meeting organised by the British Racing and Sports Car Club takes place tomorrow but, a week later, the circuit will play host to the first big crowd puller of the year -the Lloyds TSB Insurance British Formula 3 International Series and the Avon Tyres British GT Championship.
British F3 is the home of aspiring Formula 1 drivers with famous names such as David Coulthard, Jenson Button and Ayrton Senna having graduated to Fl through the series. At Oulton Park this Easter Monday another famous name will return to the series as Greg and Leo Mansell, sons of 1992 Fl World Champion Nigel Mansell, start the fight for a title that their father never won.
Alongside F3 on Easter weekend will be British GTs which features Le Mans-style racing with 500bhp cars from manufacturers such as Porsche, Ferrari, Ascari and Lamborghini. Merseyside-based Tech 9 Motorsport used this week's Oulton Park launch to show off their latest Porsche 911GT3 car
