Dawson Creek SCL plans supported housing at former care facility site.
DAWSON CREEK, B.C. -- The Dawson Creek Society for Community Living plans to develop 22 new apartments with support services for seniors in the Dawson Creek/Pouce Coupe area. DCSCL will convert Peace River Haven into publicly funded Independent Living apartments to provide affordable housing with health services and supports to seniors. Originally built as an intermediate care facility, Peace River Haven is not functionally suitable for meeting the complex needs of today's residential care clients. The conversion to independent living will offer more choices for seniors with health needs. Federal governments, regional health authorities, and the private and non-profit sectors are participating. 604-439-4734
