Officers also arrested three people in the early-morning raids, which happened Northumberland and Gateshead yesterday morning. At around 8.30am, drugs warrants were used to access homes in Brettonby Avenue, Stocksfield; Castle Lea, Masters Crescent and Moorside in Prudhoe, and Rose Terrace in Greenside.

Police say PS30,000 worth suspected "dirty" cash, around PS2,000 of what is to be class A drugs have been seized.

A 31-year-old man, a 53-yearold woman and a 26-year have been arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the of controlled drugs and helping police with their Chief Insp David Felton, from Northumbria Police's Northumberland Area Command, said: "We're determined to take action against those people whose suspected criminal activity causes the most in our communities."
